Dr. Jeremy Scholzen, DMD

Pediatric Dental Specialist

Graduated from Pediatric Residency in 2007 and opened Children’s Dental September 2007.

Dr. Scholzen was “born and raised” in Hurricane, Utah and is glad to be home to open a pediatric dental office here in Southern Utah.

He graduated from Dixie College and Southern Utah University before completing dental school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed a Pediatric Dental Residency at the #1 children’s hospital in the Midwest, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Scholzen has spent time volunteering in Honduras as a Pediatric Dentist to the undeserved communities there.

He is currently licensed in Utah, Nevada and Ohio… but he is happy to call Southern Utah “home” for he and his wife and their four children.

Dr. Bren Dixon

Graduated from Pediatric Dental Residency in 2011 and joined Children’s Dental July 2011. Dr. Dixon grew up in the state of Washington and attended Case Western Reserve University with Dr. Scholzen for dental school. Dr. Dixon completed his residency at Florida State and then moved his family to Cedar City. you will find him primarily in our Cedar office, however to better serve our patients he also helps in St. George from time to time.

Laurie Scholzen

Office Manager and married to Dr. Scholzen

Abby

Joined the team in 2008 right after we moved into our St. George office. She grew up in Hurricane, Utah. You will find Abby mostly working as a dental assistant, unless you are in the St. George office early in the morning for a conscious sedation, she will usually be the first face you see checking in patients then.

Amanda

Joined the team in 2011. Has been dental assisting since high school.

Autumn

Joined the team in 2011. Autumn is primarily found at our Cedar City office and is the insurance guru there. She joined the team when she moved back to Southern Utah after being in Boston and working for Aspen Dentla for over 10 years.

Carrie

Joined the Cedar City team in 2011. Mother of 5 and grandma to a handful of cute kids. Carrie is the first face that you will usually see when you walk in the fron door at our Cedar office or may be the first voice you hear when you call to schedule an appointment.

Curtis

Joined the team July 2009. Currently in the predental program at Dixie State College. Curtis has two cute little girls and is an amazing assistant. We often have patients who request him when they come in. He is a huge help to all of our Spanish speaking patients.

Darrell

Joined the team in 2011. Darrell is the office manager at our Cedar City location, however you will often find him out at all of the events in the community. Most know him from his previous banking experience in the Cedar City area and from his involvement with the Chamber of Commerce.

Jessica H.

Joined the team spring 2009. Jessica has three little boys and although she moved here from Michigan she grew up in Utah. She was an easy fit to our office, with her Spanish speaking skills and her previous dental assisting experience.

Jessica S.

Joined the team January 2010. We call Jessica “magic”. Somehow she can convince any child to let them brush her teeth or to take xrays.

Kirsten

Joined the team spring of 2008. Kirsten originally began assisting for us because of her previous assisting background, however she now works up front checking out patients. She has three boys and one girl.

Nikki

Joined the team January 2010. Nikki has been assisting in our St. George office for two years, however she and her husband moved to Cedar City so you will find her there most days. She is also a licensed esteician and hair stylist.

Shaelee

Joined the team summer 2011 in St. George. You may have seen her before working at the state funded dental office – Family Dental Plan. She is amazing with the kids with her calming soft spoken voice.

Susan

Joined the team in the summer of 2011. Susan came from an dental office up north where she had been working the front office, so she was a natural fit for us when she moved her family to southern utah. She is usually the first face you see when you walk in the door of our St. George office.

Tifnee

Joined the team 2007 a month after we opened. Tifnee moved here from Moab and has 4 children. She is usually the person you will talk to on the phone if you call our St. george office after hours. She is very knowledgable and can answer most dental questions.

Tyler

Joined the team in 2011 and is currently in the predental program at Southern Utah University. His wife is expecting their first baby. If you live in Cedar City and speak spanish then Tyler will be the guy who will help you while at our office.

Trish

Joined the team in 2011 after she had completed a dental assisting course. She grew up and met her husband in Cedar and she spends most days as an assistant at our Cedar office, however we often have her come to our St. George office so we can take advantage of her there as well.

Zaira

Joined the team Ocotber 2007 just after we had opened our original office in Hurricane. Zaira is our insurance specialist and our spanish speaking person in the front office. She came to us from Las vegas, where she worked for a large dental office for many years.

Nick

Nick is a full time paramedic in Hurricane, however prior to being offered a full time position with the city he was a full time dental assistant at our office for over 3 years. He still makes an appearance now and then, when his schedule will allow him to come and help and when we need him.

Jimmy

Jimmy has been off and on with us since we opened in September 2007. He took some time off to play probaseball, however when his carrer was cut short due to injuries he came back and joined us full time as a dental assistant. He recently was accepted into the nursing program at the University of Utah so will be with us less and less, however we will bride him to come back and work whenever we can because he is so good with the kids.
